"La dolce vita" ~ The Good Life.

Good food, good drink and good cheer. One of the fundamental ways of creating union and sharing is by bringing everyone together around the table, be it for breakfast, lunch, teatime or the evening repast. I would encourage the members of this group to keep the idea of themes in mind and if you don't see an existing discussion for a type of food or drink, create one and invite others to post their recipes along with your contribution. So, Kiddos, let's get cookin'!

Hi Ms. Vicki,
Re: Johnny Appleseed Day. I just learned that Apples, themselves low in Vitamin C, actually help the body to utilize the Vitamin C in other foods. So taking my cue from that bit of "nutri-trivia" I have begun cutting up an Apple and adding it to my morning bowl of Strawberries.
It is a delicious combo AND for the truly adventuresome add 1/2 Avocado to the mix. I know it sounds weird but my taste buds give it two thumbs up.

Okey Doke. Break is over. Back to dealing with "Life in the Raw" ;-))

Howdy fellow gardeners. I know I have been scarce of late and will continue to be for a while longer. However, I am inspired to share this video about good food and a good food farmer with you. Enjoy and happy Labor Day!

It's Johnny Appleseed Day! Can you imagine life without apples? I'm sure glad we don't have to.
